It is disease alarm in Basra. Approximately 300,000 children from southern Iraq are at risk from contaminated water in the Basra region.
According to a statement by the Norwegian Refugee Council (Nrc), 227 thousand children risk getting sick because of the contaminated water present in the area, theater in recent months of violent protests popular for the cost of living and the absence of essential services such as drinking water and electricity .
