Bologna, Milan, Turin and Pozzuoli win the European Union Urban Innovation Award.

Bologna, Milan, Pozzuoli (Naples) and Turin are among the cities ‘urban solutions they have developed among the most’ innovative Europe.

This is the result of the first call for proposals launched by the Urban Innovative Actions
(UIA), a European Commission initiative that aims aincoraggiare throughout the Union good practices that rispondonoalle challenges facing urban centers.
When asked to submit projects launched in December del2015 respondents in 378, among whom were selected best 18. Four are Italian.
In Bologna, the project Villa Salus e’risultato among the best in class ‘inclusion of migrants and refugees’, asthe “new sustainable space, accessible and liveable for intercultural health, welfare and hospitality.”

For ‘Work category and local skills in the economy’ it draws on agriculture Milanese architect in the vicinity ‘urban delcentro to be statoselezionato by the EU Commission.
Instead the two Italian initiatives resulted between miglioriper the ‘Poverty’ category Urban ‘: the creation of a citta’agricola to Monteruscello, most district of the town diPozzuoli, and Co-city planning of the city’ of Turin.

To develop their own initiatives, cities’ were awarded additional funding of up to 5 million euro provenientedalla 2014-2020 programming of the European Rural Development Fund.
